Born from the Yoruba word “Ewa” for beautiful woman and “Bili” from “Phambili,” which means forward, “The Ewabili Green Initiative” (TEGI) was founded. The name encapsulates the spirit of progress and the beauty of women’s contributions to environmental sustainability.
Our journey started with a simple yet powerful mission: to empower women-led projects that are at the forefront of tackling climate change. Within the vast and diverse landscapes of Africa, we saw the potential for women to be the catalysts of transformation, the caretakers of our environment, and the architects of a sustainable future for all.
